End User Licence Agreement

This agreement is between you and Shiitake Audio (Frederik Nordsø ApS, CVR 43494791, Frederiksberg, Denmark) for the software you purchased or downloaded from shiitakeaudio.com.

1. What you get

A perpetual, non-exclusive licence to install and use the software on up to three computers that you own or control, for any musical or commercial production. Recordings you make with it are yours.
All updates to the same major version at no cost.

2. What you may not do

Sell, rent, lend or transfer the licence, or share licence keys. (Write to us if you want to transfer a licence to another person; we handle that case by case.)
Decompile, reverse-engineer or extract the software's DSP, models, impulse data or graphics, or remove its copy protection.
Use the software on more than three computers at once.

3. Trademarks

Our products are original work. Where hardware is mentioned in our documentation it is to describe the circuits studied; the names of other manufacturers are their trademarks, and Shiitake Audio is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

4. Warranty and liability

The software is provided as described on its product page. We fix bugs that are reported to us. Beyond the purchase price, Shiitake Audio is not liable for indirect losses, lost sessions or lost income arising from the use of the software. Nothing here limits rights you have under Danish or EU consumer law.

5. Termination

The licence ends if you break section 2. You may end it at any time by deleting the software.

6. Law

Danish law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Copenhagen, unless consumer law gives you a right to your own courts.

Terms of sale

Seller of record. Purchases on shiitakeaudio.com are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and its affiliates) as merchant of record through Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe charges your card, calculates and adds the VAT or sales tax of your country at checkout, issues your receipt and invoice, and processes refunds on our instruction. Prices on the site are shown in USD before tax.
Delivery. Digital download. Immediately after payment you are taken to your order page with the download links and your licence file; Stripe e-mails your receipt. Nothing is shipped.
Right of withdrawal. By starting the download you ask us to begin delivery of digital content immediately and acknowledge that the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal lapses, as EU consumer law allows for digital goods. We go further than the law requires: see refunds.
Refunds. If a product does not work on a supported system and we cannot fix it, or you regret the purchase within 30 days, write to hello@shiitakeaudio.com with your order number and we refund you in full. Refunded licences are cancelled.
System requirements. macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon. VST3 and AU. Check the requirements before buying; "it does not run on Windows or an Intel Mac" is a valid reason for a refund within 30 days.
Launch and sale prices. Promotional prices apply for the period stated on the site; the regular price shown is the price that applies when the period ends. A purchase at a promotional price is a full licence with no time limit.

Privacy

What we collect. When you buy we receive your name, e-mail address, country and order details from Stripe; when you download a free product we store the e-mail address you enter. We use them to deliver the product, issue licence files, send updates and provide support.
Newsletter. Downloading a free product subscribes you to our product news (a few mails a year). Every mail has an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share the list.
Payment data. We never see your card number. Stripe processes payments under its own privacy policy.
The plugins. Our plugins do not collect usage data, do not phone home and contain no analytics. A future activation step sends your licence key and a hash of your machine identifier to verify the licence, nothing else.
Cookies. shiitakeaudio.com sets no tracking cookies. The checkout, hosted by Stripe, uses the cookies needed to complete a purchase.
